Maddie Gets A Big Girl Bed

We have been thinking about getting Madilynn a big girl bed for some time now. But like most parents it's one of those steps we hesitated on - obviously, she is almost 3 now! We weren't sure whether or not she was ready, whether she would stay in it all night or be coming into our bed, or just completely freak out. Well, you never know until you try. We found the Allie Iron bed from Pottery Barn Kids off of Craigslist for $150. Regularly $500.

It had a couple areas where the paint was chipping off and exposing the raw iron so we are going to have to fix it up a little.

Also, you know how the paint at Pottery Barn Kids is sometimes a little "yellowish"? Well, I don't like that so I am going to spray it bright white.

Oh spray paint! How you have changed my life! 

After about three coats of spray paint, the bed is drying in the garage. I have ordered some AMAZING bedding for her and it should be here by the end of the week so check back for the reveal.
